At the University of Utah, we have a longstanding tradition of charting new paths. Building on the momentum of Strategy 2025 and in partnership with University of Utah Health, we continue to reflect on our roles as educators in creating a new strategic plan—Impact 2030—that will further our vision to improve the life of every Utahn and advance a new national higher education model for delivering societal impact.

As Utah enters a new era of growth and opportunity, we see higher education as a compass pointing toward a brighter future. We are poised to expand access to education and health care, remove barriers to mental health services, and train working professionals to meet evolving employer needs. Our relentless pursuit of solutions will ensure we can research, test, and implement new approaches to society’s pressing needs.

Nationally, higher education is facing increased pressure amid growing scrutiny and diminishing appreciation of its value. With more eyes on the Beehive State as it navigates its next phase, the University of Utah is uniquely positioned to lead the way in outpacing enrollment trends, achieving new levels of student success, and translating our work directly into our national and global community.

With the launch of our new campus-wide strategic plan, we establish clear goals and metrics—informed by insights, input, and values from across our university community—that will position the U as a peak institution for student success, research and innovation, and service.
